I'm Carl Anthony Osborne, CPHIMS, PMP, founder of EHR Consultant for Hire. Since 2011 I have supported more than 25 health systems as an analyst, principal trainer, solution architect, and build advisor.

My background is health information systems, with a B.S. from University of Maryland Global Campus, and since 2011 I have worked beside the clinicians who use what I build. That shapes the work: an order set or a documentation template has to work at the bedside, not just pass testing.
The work spans Oracle Health (Cerner) Millennium and Epic build, enterprise training programs, and HL7 and FHIR integration, at organizations including Mayo Clinic, MedStar Health, Penn State Health, McLaren, Prospect Medical, Care New England, Foundation Health Partners, and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
Alongside client work I build clinical apps on SMART on FHIR. seeCOLe has won four national competitions and is listed in the SMART Health IT App Gallery and the Epic App Orchard. MARY, a voice-driven FHIR-native interface, is in development.
